3. THE MISSION...
Our mission is to ensure quality and achievement of world class standards so that engineering institutions in India can hold their own standard against competition from foreign universities. Since teachers in engineering institutions are mainly responsible for quality of education, teacher training naturally forms an important mission of Engineering Education Foundation.
We aim at acting as the "Green House" which will sprout R & D, innovations and new ideas which will inspire engineering education institutions. We also intend to provide an independent forum for exchange of views on current scenario, emerging challenges and future trends in engineering education.

We plan to evolve programs for teachers from engineering institutes, incorporating science of education along with teaching practice under the mentorship of experienced professors. Teachers, who complete this program successfully, will be awarded a Certificate of " Accredited Engineering Educator". This will give the accredited teacher, recognition as a professional, adding status and respect to his profession, just like a doctor, lawyer or chartered accountant. We are sure that this move will go a long way in bringing about a quantum jump in the quality of engineering education system in India
