Mechanical Engineering is an evergreen branch. It gives lot of exposure to diversified engineering fields. The Mechanical Engineering department at MMCOE is well equipped with latest state of the art labs and manned by highly qualified & experienced faculty members.

The department has adopted latest teaching learning processes like e–learning, power point presentations, over head projectors, seminars, industrial visits etc.

We take special efforts to reduce the gap between Industry & Institute. Mechanical Engineers are required not only in hard core Mechanical Industries, but also in Chemical, Process Fertilizers, Software etc. Also they play very important role in Government sectors like Engineering Services, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Power Plants etc. Hence the employment potential is very high for Mechanical Engineers.

Special activities of Mechanical Dept:

1) A Guest lecture by Mr. Limaye N. J. of Sparkonix (I) Pv Ltd. Pune-18 was arranged on 28/08/08.
Topic :-“ Industrial Manufacturing Management”.

2) A Guest lecture by Mr. Ajit Kulkarni of Mega Associates Pune was arranged on 25/09/08
Topic:- “ Industrial Air Compressors-basics, types and applications”

3) A Guest lecture by Mr. Raghu Nair, Corporate Training Head, Forbes Marshal was arranged on 15/01/09.
Topic:- “From Campus to Corporate”

4) Our students Mr. Aniket Anaokar, Mr. Shrikant Khopade, Mr. Manoj Potdar, Mr.Anup Karpe, participated in Mech. fest’08 held at JSCOE Pune- 28 and awarded Second prize.

5) Our student Mr. Sarang Dani of TE Mech. has won Fourth prize in photography competition held at Harmony -08, ROTRACT CLUB.

6) Our student Mr. Mayank Rajesh Kumar of TE Mech. represented our college in duet singing competition held at Harmony -08, ROTRACT CLUB.

7) Our students Mr. Manoj Potdar, Mr. Aniket Anaokar, Mr. Shrikant Khopade, Mr.Anup Karpe, won First prize in National Level Robotics event “TECHNEX 09” held at Sant Palloti COE, Nagpur.

8) Mr.Vishal Sarode, Mr. Mayank Rajesh Kumar, Mr. Vineet Borse, Mr. Sarang Dani won First prize in National Level competition “ MINDSPARK-08 ” on Robotics event DOGFIGHT held at COEP,Pune.

9) Mr. Vijay Dhanke was Runner up for Boxing Competition held at Pune Universtiy in 2008.

Visits:
1) SE Mech. students visited on 10/08/08, Katraj Dairy, Pune to see the process industry using a Boiler.

2) SE Mech. students visited Tata Motors Chichwad, Pune on 07/10/08.

3) SE & TE Mechanical students visited ARAI, SIAT-09 on 23/01/09.
