ERAGON'10 (A students's state level Technical Event)
organized by MCA Department
On October 10 and 11, 2010 ' Eragon 2010', a state level students event for undergraduate and post graduate Computer Science and Computer Engineering students was held at Marathwada Mitra Mandals College of Engineering, Karvenagar. In this 'Eragon 2010' event - C Programming , paper presentation and computer gaming contests were organized. Over 600 students from various colleges in Maharashtra state participated in the Eragon 2010 event.
On 10th October 2010 in the inauguration event for 'Eragon 2010' Prof. G.V. Garje, Chairman, Board of Studies (Computer Engineering), Pune University addressed the students as Chief Guest of the event and he stressed on the reforms needed in teaching Computer to students. In his keynote speech Dr. Sasikumar, Director (Research), C-DAC stressed the need to understand the computer language constructs before using them inside the Computer programs in language. Dr. Rajendra Sonar, Associate Professor, SJ Mehta School of Management was the Guest of honor. Prof. Dr. Sharad Joshi welcomed and felicitated the newly joined Principal of the College Dr. Arun Gaikwad at the start of the inauguration function. Prof. Naim Shaikh, Head of the MCA Department of the College welcomed all the Guests. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Atul Naik, MCA Department.
Dr. Pramod Damle, renowed faculty in the area of Information Security and Audit addressed the participants in the Valedictory function and stressed the need for exchange of ideas beyond the syllabus and curriculum. The function was presided over by Principal B.G. Jadhav, Treasurer, Marathwada Mitra Mandal, Pune. Prof. Mrs. Swapna Kolhatkar announced the names of the Winners. The prizes were distributed to the winners of C Programming, Paper presentation and Computer Gaming contests in the event by Dr. Damle and Principal B.G. Jadhav. Prof. Naim Shaikh gave the vote of thanks at the end of function.
