Achievements

Educational Achievements of Staffs:

All the staff members are motivated for further education and research to achieve excellence in teaching learning process and personal profile.

    • Mrs. Aparna P. Thakur pursuing Ph. D. in VLSI.Ms Manisha Agnani (Department of Electronics and telecommunication) completed M.E. in Electronics - VLSI securing 69.35 %.
    • Mrs. Kapila Patel (Department of Electronics and telecommunication) completed A.M.I.E in Electronics and Communication with 6.5 CGPA.

      E & TC Department Activities:

       

      1. "B.E. project detailing workshop" was held on 12th Aug. 2011 at MMCOE along with MMIT. The chief guest for this function was Prof Bormane. Eminent personalities from various industry also deliver their views regardsing UG projects. Mr. Shrirang Karandikar, Mr. Shrikant Kulkarni , Mr. Pawar etc from Industry like CRL india , Affair were present on that day.

      Principal Prof. A.N.Gaikwad of MMCOE , Priciple Prof. B.M.Patil of   MMIT , Mrs. Swati Deshmukh HOD E &TC       MMCOE, Prof. C. B. Joshi, Prof. Kurkute of MMIT and Prof. Baru from Sinhagad COE talked on varios aspects of B.E. Projects.

       

      1. One day workshop on Embedded Systems Design (Based on Embedded Linux and ARM 9) was organized on 18th August 2011. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Nitin Paranjape of Edutech Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and was sponsored by Prashant Distributors. Altium software information is given by MR. Shrikanth.

      B.E. students plus faculties from various colleges attended this handson workshop.

       

      3. The IETE (Institution of electronics and telecommunication engineers) student's forum was inaugurated at          Marathwada Mitra Mandal's college of engineering(MMCOE) , karvenagar on 16th of September 2011.

      IETE is a leading national level professional society dedicated to the advancement of E&TC and other related disciplines. IETE has been stated to be an institute of national eminence by the government of India.

      The chief guest for this function was group captain G.M . Apte ,chairman of IETE . He was awarded 'VISHISHT SEVA MEDAL' for distinguished sevice. He stressed on how there is a need of exchange of ideas and gaining additional exposure for students.

      All together it was great experience to be a part of IETE student's forum.

       

       


      Various activities are conducted in the department for progress of the student as complete and multidimensional engineer with state of art knowledge like guest lectures, industrial visits and student association events. Some activities are also conducted for development of faculty like sponsorships for workshops, conferences etc.

      Guest Lectures: Guest and Expert Lectures on various topics in curriculum and for additional information in industrial fields are frequently arranged for the students.

      • A guest lecture by Prof. Mrs. M.A. Joshi on 'Electronic Components' was conducted on 21st February 2008 for SE (E&TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. S.S.Khot on 'Electronic Circuit and Applications' was conducted on 1st April 2008 for SE (E&TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. Mrs. A.A. Puntambekar on 'Data Structures and Files' was conducted on 8th April 2008 for SE (E&TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. Dhananjay Gadare on 'Innovative Circuits using Electronics' was conducted on 26th September 2008 for SE (E&TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by 'HCL Carrer Development Centre' was conducted on 8th January 2009 for TE (E&TC) students on " Careers in IT networking".
      • A guest lecture by Komal Garde on 'Applications of LabVIEW' was conducted on 10th January 2009 for SE and TE (E&TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. C.B. Deshpande on 'Applications of Octave in Engineering' was conducted on 24th January 2009 for SE and TE (E&TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. Ashish Panat on "Intelligent Machines" was conducted on 27th January 2009 for TE (E & TC and COMP) students.
      • A guest lecture by Mr. Jorge on "Embedded Technology" was conducted on 24th March 2009 for TE (E & TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. A. Marathe "Digital Signal Processing" was conducted on 1st April 2009 for TE (E & TC) students.
      • A guest lecture by Prof. Mrs. Ohotkar on "Information Theory & Coding Techniques" was conducted on 3rd April 2009 for TE (E & TC) students.
      • Two days workshop was orgonized by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and conducted by Gemini Training & Staffing Ltd. on "Embedded C for ARM Microcontroller" for B.E. (E&TC) students on 27th & 28th August 2010.

       

      Workshops Organised:

      E&TC Department and Prolific Systems conducted a One Day Workshop on "Advanced Embedded Technology" on 25th August 2008. Faculty members from various engineering colleges in Pune University participated in this workshop.

      E&TC Department and Agilent Technologies conducted a One Day Workshop on "Agilent Multipurpose Labstation" on 4th February 2009. Faculty members rom various engineering colleges in Pune University participated in this  Workshop.

       

      Workshops, Conferences and STTPs  attended by faculty members:

      • Prof. Ms. Agnani attended STTP on "Applications of Digital Signal Processing" from 16th June to 25th June organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Engineering.

      • Prof. Mrs. A. P. Thakur attended STTP on "Advanced VLSI Design" during 30th June to 8th July 2008 organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Engineering.

      • Prof. Mrs. A. M. Solanke attended STTP on "Advanced Communication Systems" from 23rd June to 28thJune 2008 organized by VIIT, Pune.

      • Prof Mrs. S. N. Deshmukh, Ms M. I. Agnani, Mrs. A.M.Solanki, Mrs. A.A.Kunte, Mrs. Tavse attended workshop on "Drafting of S.E. (E&TC) Syllabus" under BOS in Electronics Engineering (University of Pune)on 19th November at Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pimpri, Pune.

      • Mrs. A.P.Thakur attended workshop on "PIC microcontroller" organized by Cummins College of Engineering, Pune held on 20th and 21st October. Mrs. S.A.Upasani attended one day National level symposium "Power for sustainable development" held on 26th September organized by AISSMS COE, Pune.

      • Prof C.B.Joshi worked as coordinator for Second year (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) syllabus formation for subject "Electronic Instruments and tools.

      • Mrs. M.R.Pangaonkar has undergone Industrial PLC Training on "Automation studio and visualization in B& R Industrial Automation Pvt. Ltd., Wakdewadi, Pune from 14th October to 18th October.

      • A paper was presented by Mrs. S.N.Deshmukh (Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) on "Multi channel ECG module " at International conference in VIT, Pune in Feb 2008.
      • Ms Manisha Agnani (Department of Electronics & Telecommunications) presented a paper on "Measurement of Blood parameter using FO sensor" on 5th March 2008 at 13th National Seminar on Physics and Technology of Sensor held in Pune University.
      • A paper was presented by Mrs. A.A.Kunte on "Development and testing of Mathematical model for complex permittivity measurement of petroleum products." at IEEE, Bombay student Association on 28thMarch, 2008.
      • Mrs. A.A.Kunte, from Electronics and Telecommunication department presented a paper on "Experimental Investigation of Complex permittivity and determination of Ethanol content in Gasoline" held in University of Rajasthan, Jaipur at International IEEE conference from 21st to 24th November.
      • Mrs. A.M.Solanke from Electronics and Telecommunication department paper on "Advanced Mobile Services" got selected for poster paper presentation at National conference held in Dr D.Y.Patil Institute of technology, Pimpri, Pune from 29 December to 31st December.
      • Wavelet Domain Reconstructive of Lost Blocks in Wireless Image transmission was presented by Mrs.H.N.Burande at International conference held in SCOE, Pune on 17th & 18th Nov. 2008

      Student Association (BETA):

      • The students of Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering formed their student council with the name BETA. Bench Of Electronics & Telecommunication Activities (BETA) inaugurated on 7th March 2008, by Chief Guest Mr. Arvind Sawargaonkar, Managing Director of Concept Integration (India) Pvt. Ltd., Pune.

      Various activities that find a place in the plan of action of the council are arranging industrial visits & technical tours, conducting general & technical competitions like quiz, robotics, paper presentation, programming language competitions and innovative circuit designing.

      Departmental Library:

      • Departmental Library 125 books till date. The council also manages the functioning of a Departmental Library which provides full time easy access to a good number of text books and reference books related to the curriculum of the entire engineering phase.

      Industrial Visits:

      • Visit to Mechatronics, Pune was arranged on 10th September 2008 for TE (E&TC) students and visit to PCB Manufacturing and Assembly Unit is arranged on 6th October 2008 for SE (E&TC) students.

      • An Industrial visit of second year Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was arranged at Aakashwani at Shivajinagar and Hadapsar in march2008  to see the Transmitter and Receiver Section to get a feel of Analog Communication.

      • An Industrial visit of second year Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was arranged at  Pabal (Vigyan Ashram) on 16th Feb 09 .

      Innovation Lab:

      • A 24X7 access laboratory with the name 'Innovation Lab.' has also been formed where the budding engineers can come forward with their own design concepts of circuits and test them as and when they like. This new concept will provide the students to give a new dimension to their imagination and logical and technical understanding.

      Student Achievements:

      • 10th National ISTE convention 2007 , Paper Presentation by Ms. Angelina Muddamalle, Mr. Jaideep  Honap and Ms Vaidehi  Malpe on the topic " Innovation and creativity in the field of technical education."

      • Sports:  Jaideep, Abhinav Katkam were participants in Kabaddi team and reached thrice in semifinal "Zest 2007, 08, 09".

      • Aniket Wagle was Quarter-finalist in Football at "Summit 08".

      • "Summit 08 "Quarter-finalist " Football - Aniket Wagle.
